Kathleen Blackwood founded Blackwood Media Management Inc. in 1997. Prior to 1997 she worked at local advertising agencies and an in-house agency. She has both business-to-consumer and business-to-business experience in a vast range of industries. She has planned and bought media locally, regionally, nationally and in some industries, globally.

Blackwood Media Management has provided media services for a number of clients in West Michigan, including but not limited to, Priority Health, Spectrum Health, Mercy Health, Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, Metro Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of West Michigan , X-Rite, Inc., Spartan Stores, Foremost Insurance, Frederik Meijer Gardens, WZZM-TV 13, Western Michigan University, Aquinas College, Grand Rapids Community College, Spring Arbor University, Cornerstone University, Griffin Pest Control and Gilmore Partnerships restaurants.
